Loving This Life
To love life doesn't mean waking up
every day and being thankful for being alive. That
is not a reasonable aspiration. There are and will
continue to be times when we all will prove less than
thankful, but therein lies the point. Life is about
experience. To experience happiness you also need
to experience unhappiness, otherwise how would you
know you are happy? Happiness is all well and good,
but without the journey of life being about the lows
as well as the highs it would lack any purpose. Often
it is through struggle and the harder times where
we truly grow in quality as individuals. It is also
at times where we are challenged where we discover
colours in our individual character that otherwise
would have remained hidden. Colour is a good word
to use as a metaphor for life. The more colour the
more interesting. The brighter the colour the more
impressive. The more intense the colour the more beautiful
and the more variety of shade and hue of all colours,
the more enriched the experience and the more intricate
and perfect the pattern of the whole. We all add our
own unique colours, hues and shades to the whole and
the whole would not be complete without us all.
It is everyone's duty to shine their
own unique light and to do that you will need to embrace
all the colours of life, embrace your purpose and
aspire to your potential.
