A Healthy Heart

So, no, I don't mean by "healthy heart" just the muscle that pumps the blood around your body, although the word "just" is probably not apt as it is a pretty critical muscle performing an extraordinarily important and arduous job, but it is, at the end of the day, only a muscle. No, when I say "healthy heart" I mean a spiritual organ that reflects the integrity and grit of the individual. As I say above, a healthy heart pumps not blood, but hopes and dreams and aspirations.

My Father possesses the biggest and healthiest heart I have ever encountered and he has survived a couple of physical heart attacks and quadruple bypass, but therein lies the test for a truly healthy heart. The moment he was well he was back tackling challenging tasks and projects, most of which require significant physical effort, but it is his indomitable spirit that truly reflects the size and stength of his deep and profound sincerity. My father is alive and his life is radiant with a love for life, but more than that, he has such a big heart that he's always looking for an opportunity to help others. I, more than any other member of our family know the truth about his huge, healthy heart, as I more than anyone else have sought safe harbour in his help and support, which has never failed me. He is and always has been the solid rock in a turbulent ocean. He is truly big and healthy hearted.
